Csilla also curates in the DLT landscape. DLT, or Distributed Ledger Technology, like blockchain, is a type of database that is decentralized and distributed across a network of computers rather than being stored in a single location. This makes it possible for multiple parties to access and update the database simultaneously while ensuring the security and integrity of the data.
The DLT landscape is rapidly evolving, and new technologies and use cases are constantly emerging. Provenance is usually associated with the art world - where the authenticity and value of a piece of art can depend on its provenance. Csillia explained that this also applies to other fields, such as medicine and commodities. The same goes for digital provenance, which is important because it enables users to verify digital assets' authenticity, integrity, and reliability. By tracing the provenance of a digital asset, users can determine its source, the people or entities that have accessed or modified it, and whether it has been tampered with or altered in any way. This information can be crucial in various contexts, including scientific research, legal proceedings, and digital forensics.
"Businesses can demonstrate that the product they are selling is environmentally friendly, that it was produced in a socially and ethically responsible way, and so on. I think that it is a very important area," she explains. Csilla shared practical applications of this facet of technology and gave case studies of how BTP is helping companies and industries in this field.
Discussion on Work and Life Balance and the Value of Failing
Csilla and I also talked about the value of work-life balance! She is an athlete, and even now, she fits sports alongside work. "Sports, to me, is my happy place," explained Csilla. She really makes time and blocks her calendar to play volleyball. I believe that this approach to work-life balance is a big contributor to her success. We also discussed the value of failing, learning, and moving on.
